Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?

My Standard Individual Therapy Session is 50 minutes weekly for $160/session.

Payment is required at the end of each session. I accept all major credit/debit cards, as well as HSA and FSA cards.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

I am an in-network provider for Aetna and Optum. However, most PPO insurance plans will cover a percentage of services out-of-network. If you choose to use your out-of-network health benefits, I am happy to provide a superbill (receipt for services) that includes all information needed to submit a claim to your insurance company. It is not guaranteed that services provided will be covered by your specific insurance plan. For information about reimbursement rates, please contact your insurance provider about your specific out-of-network benefits.

WHAT IS THE TYPICAL LENGTH FOR THERAPY?

The length of time you commit to therapy depends on your goals and many other factors. There is no right or wrong in the number of sessions you have. I have worked with clients over a period of years in open-ended therapy to journey into deeper layers through exploratory work, and as little as two months in time-limited and goal focused work. Therapy does not have to last forever. My goal is to make myself obsolete and empower each client to find their way.

WHAT IS TELEHEALTH?

Telehealth is a form of video conferencing allowing psychiatrists and therapists to provide services to patients outside of the office. I provide telehealth therapy sessions to residents of California through s a secure, HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, I am currently not offering in-person sessions.
